Take Home Pay Calculator
Estimate annual take-home pay after simple tax and deduction assumptions.
About the Take Home Pay Calculator
Take-home pay is the amount left after estimated taxes and other deductions. This calculator gives you a simple annual estimate and converts it to monthly and biweekly amounts.
How to use this calculator
- Enter your gross annual salary.
- Enter estimated federal, state or local, and FICA percentages.
- Add any other annual deductions you want to account for.
- Review the estimated annual, monthly, and biweekly take-home amounts.
How the calculation works
The calculator applies each percentage to gross annual salary, subtracts those estimated taxes and deductions, and then subtracts any fixed annual deductions. The remaining amount is the estimated net income.
Example
For a $75,000 salary, you can enter your own withholding assumptions and annual deductions to see an estimated net salary and its monthly and biweekly equivalents.
Things to keep in mind
- Actual taxes are based on your circumstances and tax rules, not one fixed percentage.
- Health insurance, retirement contributions, and other benefits can reduce take-home pay.
- Use a recent pay stub when choosing assumptions for a closer budgeting estimate.
- This tool is not tax advice or an official payroll calculation.
